JAMES LEON RICHARDSON
James Leon Richardson, 86 of Hartville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Oct. 9, 2021, after a long courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on Dec. 30, 1934, in Lakeworth, Fla., to the late James and Margery (Dorsey) Richardson.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a baby sister, Geneveve and his first wife, Mary. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Elena; his children, Sandra (Jimmy) McElwain, Cynthia Anderson, Beverly (Danny) Miller, J.D. Richardson and Jonathan (Patty) Richardson; step-children, Susan (Mike) Coulson and Michael (Tonya) Shahan; sister, Donna Simpson; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; four step-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Oct. 13, at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Pastor Anthony DiMarco officiated. Burial followed in Riverside Cemetery in Shalersville. The family would like to offer a special thank you to Mercy Hospice and to all who cared for Leon at Altercare of Hartville.
