Janet Nelson obituary

                        
Janet J. Nelson, 71, of Nankin, died Jan. 18, 2010, at Hospice of North Central Ohio, following a short illness. Janet was born Sept. 9, 1939, in Ashland, to the late Bernard L. and Ethel L. Jelly, and had lived in Ashland and Wayne counties all her life. She had worked as a nurse’s aide at Good Shepherd, Brethren Care, and the Griffith nursing homes in Ashland, and was a member of Nankin Federated Church. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and spending time with her pet bird, Boomer. Surviving are daughters, Connie (Kelly) McKelvey of Fredericksburg, Bonnie Brady of Loudonville, and Wendy (Mike) Stroub of Ashland; sons, Robert Brady Jr. of Toledo, Dan Brady of Brunswick, and Alex Brady (friend, Cindy Pyanowski) of Nankin; stepmother, Helen Wiler of Nankin; nine grandchildren, Matthew (Tonya) McKelvey, Shawn (Wendy) McKelvey, Megan (Brent) Bernhart, Brittany (Herman) Irias, Melinda Brady, Jordan, Zachery, Nathanial, and Trevor Stroub; three great-grandchildren, Cowen, Haylee, and Kenze McKelvey; sisters, Patricia (Dave) Holland of Arizona and Lynette Cane of Ashland; and brother, Robert (Sharon) Moorman of Ashland. She was preceded in death by an infant son. Services were held Jan. 21, 2010, at Denbow-Primm-Kemery Funeral Home, with Rev. Cathy Meyer officiating. Burial was in Nankin Cemetery.
