Katie Hershberger, 81, of Millersburg, died Feb. 7, 2010, following a courageous battle with Hodgins lumphoma. Katie was born Oct. 16, 1928, in Millersburg, to the late William and Sarah Miller. She retired from Pomerene Hospital, Millersburg, after 10 years of service and was a member of Grace Mennonite Church. Her hobbies included gardening, sewing, and spending time with her family. She also loved spending winters in Florida with her husband. Surviving are her husband, Alvin Hershberger, whom she married in 1954; children, James (Rosa) Hershberger, Loren (Jenny) Hershberger, and Larry (Judy) Hershberger, all of Millersburg, Myron “Zeke” Hershberger of Holmesville, Judy Hershberger of Wooster, and JoAnn (Don) Shoup of Orrville; and 14 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Miller. Services will be held Feb. 10, 2010, at 10 a.m., at Grace Mennonite Church, Berlin, with Pastor Larry Kaufman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call Feb. 9, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., at the church. Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, handled arrangements. Family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Holmes County, 931 Wooster Rd., Millersburg 44654.
