Kenneth G. Rose
Kenneth G. Rose, Sr., age 82 of Dover, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018, in his residence, following an extended illness.
Born in Mill Point, West Virginia, Ken was the son of the late Lee V. and Lilly E. Jackson Rose and was an honorably discharged veteran who served with the United States Army. He had worked for Hercules Inc. and then retired from American Electric Power in Covington, Virginia. He was a member of the Dover First Christian Church.
Surviving are Ken's wife, the former Delores G. Sharp, whom he married May 19, 1962; a daughter, Rebecca (Jimmy) Simpson of Lowmore, Virginia; two sons, Kenneth G. (Christine) Rose, Jr. of Dover and Gregory (Susan) Rose of Winchester, California; three sisters, Janet Dean and Carolyn McCloud, both of Marlinton, West Virginia, and Patricia (Jack) Loudermilk of Hillsboro, West Virginia; and six grandchildren.
Four brothers preceded Ken in death.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 16 at 11 a.m. in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover with Rev. Josh Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Dover Burial Park at Dover. Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
