Laura Hartley
Laura Hartley, age 91 of Dalton and formerly of Cleveland, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018, at Shady Lawn Health Care Community in Dalton, following a period of declining health.
Laura was born Feb. 21, 1927, in Joppa, Illinois to the late Bradford and Gertude (Buchanan) Bradley.
Laura attended Orrville High School. She was employed as a housekeeper for many years. She really loved to read, watching talk shows and really enjoyed spending time with her family, especially all her nieces and nephews.
Surviving are three daughters, Jackie Wadsworth of Los Angeles, California, Deborah Hartley of Oregon, California and Jerry Earley of California; son, Larry (Ouida) Hartley of Compton, California; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild; three sisters, Rhonda Stoudmire of Wooster, Sherley Smith of Cleveland and Barbara-Jo Ellison of Cleveland; and brother, James Settles of Dayton.
Laura was preceded in death by son, Michael Hartley; brothers, William, Gene and Ben Settles; sisters, Emma Settles and Mary E. Ray; and grandchild, Larry “Donny” Hartley, Jr.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19 at Auble Funeral Home, 512 E. Oak St., Orrville, OH 44667.
