Lucille M. Garbrandt, 85, of New Philadelphia, died Sunday, May 5, 2013 in New Dawn Retirement Community at Dover.
A daughter of the late John C. and Florence (Beachler) McCoy, Lucille was born July 3, 1927 at Dover.
Lucille was a lifelong resident of New Philadelphia and has always resided in the home her father built in 1910. Over the years, she was employed at the former Puritan Laundry and as a cook at the former L & K Restaurant. Lucille enjoyed gardening and playing cards.
She is survived by three daughters, Patricia, Janice and Joyce Garbrandt all of New Philadelphia; a son, John (Vickie) Garbrandt of New Philadelphia; two granddaughters, Tonya (Joshua) Johnson of Dennison and Tiffany (Shawn) McClellan of Uniontown; four great-grandchildren, Brody Johnson, Payton and Alexander McClellan and Alexis Culberson; numerous nieces and nephews and special friends, Jeff Jackson and John Thomas.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Forrest W. Garbrandt, who passed away Jan. 2, 1997.
In keeping with Lucilles wishes, calling hours will be private and a public graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 11 a.m. in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia with Rev. Dr. Steven Bailey officiating.
