Mary M. Schlabach, 88, of Millersburg died Thursday, April 17, 2014 at her residence following a period of declining health.
She was born Dec. 22, 1925 in Holmes County to the late Mose and Mattie (Miller) Bontrager. She was a homemaker and a member of the Amish Church. She married Wyman J. Schlabach Feb. 26, 1948 and he died Jan. 24, 2009.
She is survived by her children, Arie (Eli) Mast of Dundee, Ella (Enos) Bontrager of Sarasota, Fla., Betty (Ray) Mast of Dundee, Jerry (Katie) Schlabach of Fredericksburg, John (Barbara) Schlabach of Millersburg, Esta (Junior) Schlabach of Dundee, Leah Schlabach (special friend Jon Hostetler) of Millersburg; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and her sister, Ella Erb of Walnut Creek.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her daughter Ruth Ann, grandson Jared and three brothers, John, Roman and Andy.
Services were held Sunday, April 20, 2014 at 9 a.m. at the Jonas Coblentz residence, 5630 CR 203, Millersburg, with Bishop Ben Coblentz officiating. Burial was in Hochstetler Cemetery in Berlin Township, Holmes County.
