OBITUARY

                        
Reuben Miller Bishop Reuben R. Miller, 91, of Holmesville, died Jan. 6, 2010, at the home of his daughter, Mattie Stutzman in Millersburg. Reuben was born March 5, 1918, in Holmes County, to the late Reuben H. and Katie Miller. He was a retired farmer and was ordained a minister in the Amish Church in the spring of 1951 and ordained a bishop in 1990. Surviving are sons, Henry (Carol) Miller of Fredericksburg, and Andy (Ida) Miller and Reuben (Esther) Miller Jr., both of Millersburg; daughters, Mattie (Eli) Stutzman of Millersburg, Lovina (Fred) Hershberger of Apple Creek, and Katie (Jacob) Troyer of Holmesville; daughter-in-law, Barbara Miller of Holmesville; 21 grandchildren; 80 great-grandchildren; half-sister, Lizzie Ann (Raymond) Weaver of Millersburg; half-brothers, Dan Mast of Florida and Jake Mast of Millersburg; stepbrother, Eli Mast of Florida; and brother-in-law, Melvin J. Miller of Baltic. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella A. Weaver, whom he married in 1941; sons, Atlee and Ben; a great-grandchild; three sisters; five brothers; two half-sisters; a stepsister; and two stepbrothers. Services were held Jan. 9, 2010, at the residence, with Bishop Ben Hershberger officiating. Burial was in Hershberger Cemetery. Murray Funeral Home, Fredericksburg, handled arrangements.
