Lola L. “Curly” Hunter, formerly of Perrysville, died March 23, 2010, in Warsaw, Va., after an extended illness. Lola was born March 23, 1921, in Fredricksburg, to the late Pearl and Della Hupp. She was a homemaker and resident of Perrysville most of her life before moving to Virginia a few years ago. She was a member of Perrysville Baptist Church, the former Perrysville Lioness Club, and the Perrysville Fire Department Auxiliary. Surviving are sons, Robert (Pamela) Hunter of King George, Va., and Gail (Pat) Hunter Jr. of Loudonville; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, James Hupp of Mansfield; and sisters, Helen Mott of Perrysville and Betty Bookman of Loudonville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gail Hunter Sr.; brothers, Bill and Scott Hupp; and a sister. Graveside services were held March 29, 2010, in Greenlawn Cemetery, Perrysville, with Revs. Howard Burnett and Millissa K. Hartson officiating.
