Marilyn Jean Pissocra, 80, of Dover, died April 9, 2010, at Union Hospital, following a brief illness.
Born Dec. 19, 1929, in New Philadelphia, Marilyn was a daughter of the late Fred R. and Nellie Graff. She graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1947, and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother; family life was of utmost importance to her. She enjoyed shopping for that special gift, and her grandchildren fondly remember her as making the best chocolate chip cookies in the world. She was a faithful member of First Moravian Church, Dover.
Surviving are her husband, Ronald L. Ron Pissocra, whom she married in 1953; daughters, Denise (James) Kilgore of Columbus and Julie (Steve) Williams of Dover; son, Jeffrey Pissocra of Dublin; six grandchildren, Jessica (Nathan) Corum, Mara Kilgore, Brian and Eric Williams, and Joseph and Emily Pissocra; sisters, Merle LeVoie of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Sara (Glenn) Beaber of Columbus; brothers, Don (Hazel) Graff and Paul (Juanita) Graff, both of New Philadelphia; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by five sisters and five brothers.
Services will be held April 12, 2010, at noon, at First Moravian Church, with Pastor John B. Wallace officiating. Entombment will be in Dover Burial Parks Garden of Peace Mausoleum. Following the committal, there will be a luncheon in the church.
