OBITUARY | 2010-04-18

                        
Wilfred Keneaster, 82, of Beach City, died April 15, 2010, at Aultman Hospital, surrounded by his family. Wilfred was born June 18, 1927, at home in Stark County. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and retired from the Norfolk and Southern Railroad following 43 years of service. He had served as president of the Fairless Band Boosters and on the utility board for the village of Beach City. He was a member of Beach City United Methodist Church and volunteered delivering for Meals on Wheels. He earned his GED when he was 70 years old. Wilfred enjoyed fishing, gardening, reading the Bible, and spending time with his family. Surviving are his wife, Doris (Clark) Keneaster; sons, Rex Keneaster of Strasburg and Bill (Tina) Keneaster of Massillon; daughters, Kathi Richards of Dundee and Judy (Wilson) May of Strasburg; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Bobby Hess, Lorin Hess, and Doug Hess; and sister, Vida (Hess) Clark. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Ketter; stepfather, Otto Hess; sisters, Louise (Hess) Otto and Bonnie (Hess) McWilliams; brother, Ronnie Hess; and son-in-law, Ken Richards.
