Raymond G. Senter, 74, of Newcomerstown, formerly of Baltic, died April 23, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center, Canton, following a five-month illness. Raymond was born Feb. 20, 1936, in Coshocton County, to the late Arthur and Jennette Senter. He retired after 35 years with the former Allied Baltic Rubber Co., and was a longtime member of the Willandale Golf Club, Sugarcreek, and Sugarcreek Sportsman Club. He loved outdoor activities and was well loved by his family and special friends. Surviving are his wife, Connie Senter, whom he married in 1968; daughter, Theresa (Steven) Ridgeway of Canal Fulton; two grandsons, Steven and Justin Ridgeway; nephews, Lonnie “Buck” (Becky) Fuller and David (Jodi) Fuller; nieces, Debbie (William Jr.) Fankhauser and Kathi (Scott) Kees; 11 great-nieces and -nephews; and 24 great-nieces and -nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon. Services will be held April 26, 2010, at 1 p.m., at Smith-Varns Funeral Home, 1018 W. Main St., Sugarcreek, with Rev. Dennis Landau officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery, Baltic. Friends may call April 25, from 1-4 p.m., and one hour prior to services.
