Viva A. Fetter, 98, of Millersburg, died May 28, 2010, at Akron City Hospital, following a short illness. Viva was born Jan. 17, 1912, in Akron, to the late William and Jose Pettit. She was a bookkeeper for General Auto Wrecking, retiring in 1977. Surviving are children, James W. (Suzanne) Topa Sr., Gerri Mollica, and Vicki (Bill) Jacobs; sister, Ina Cady of Levittsburg; brother, Byron Fryberger of Crossville, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Gina Rood, Phillip Mollica, and James Topa Jr.; three great-grandchildren, Jacob, Hanna, and Emily; several nieces and nephews; her dear friend, Ruth Fitzwater of Grantsville, W.Va.; and her faithful companion, Rascal. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Fetter; brother, Ira Pettit; and sisters, Wilma Mason and Dorothy Vote. Services were held June 1, 2010, at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with her son, Jim Topa Sr., officiating. Burial was in Fryburg Cemetery. Family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice Care at Akron City Hospital.
