Joseph John Ruggeri, 73, of Chatham, Va., died May 17, 2010, at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Joseph was born March 19, 1937, in Dover, to the late Carmello and Carmella Ruggeri. He was a 1955 graduate of St. Joseph High School, Dover, and attended New Life Community Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War with 23 years of service.
Surviving are his wife, Gwendolyn Elaine Ruggeri; sons, Vincent Matthew Ruggeri and Joseph Scott (Crystal) Ruggeri, both of Chatham, two grandchildren, Alyssa Nikole Ruggeri and Joseph David Ruggeri; and brothers, Phillip Ruggeri of Dover, Nick Ruggeri of Hampton, Va., David Ruggeri of Dallas, Texas, and John Ruggeri of Wooster.
Memorial services will be held June 6, 2010, at 2 p.m., at New Life Community Church, with Rev. Jim Reed officiating.
