Larry L. Sciarini, 73, of the Wainwright area of New Philadelphia, died suddenly July 15, 2011, at Union Hospital, Dover. Born Jan. 3, 1938, in Wainwright, Larry was a son of the late Mono Louis and Jean Agnes Sciarini. He was a lifelong resident of Wainwright and had worked at the former Bonvechio’s Restaurant for a number of years. He loved taking care of the home that he shared with his sister, especially doing the lawn and gardening work. Larry was happiest when he was outside, going for long walks and chatting with his many friends and neighbors. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Philadelphia, and had previously been a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Wainwright, until its closing. His surviving family includes his sister, Maxine J. Riley, with whom he had resided; niece, Jean (Jerry) Evans of Wainwright; great-nephew, Kyler Evans of Wainwright; cousins, Anita and Mike Heys, Jerry Sciarini, Nadine Goodman, and Paula and Nick Vasu, along with their families; as well as many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his uncle and aunt, Dante and Helen Sciarini; and cousin, Natalie Sciarini. Services will be held July 19, at 1 p.m., at R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home, Dennison, with Father Jeff Coning officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, New Philadelphia. Those wishing to honor his memory by a charitable contribution may do so to the charity of their choice.
