Audrey M. Zahler, 75, of Dover, died July 15, 2011, at her residence, following an extended illness. Born August 17, 1935, in Rivesville, W.Va., Audrey was the daughter of the late Charles and Sarah Wenger. She retired from the Timken Co., New Philadelphia, after 26 years of service, and had also worked at Dover Buehler’s. She was a member of Dover Bible Church. Audrey is survived by a son, Rodney “Skip” Zahler of Columbus; daughter, Lori (Phil) Gordon of Pepperell, Mass.; granddaughters, Brittni, Taylor, and Shelby Gordon; sisters, Pat (Vernon) Troyer of Dover, Sarah (Wayne) Kamban of New Philadelphia, Mary (John) Brink of West Lafayette, Lovie (Bill) Jones of Illinois, Carol (Manasses) Troyer of Louisville, and Sheila (Doug) McPeek of Midvale; brother, Chester (Sandy) Wenger of Carrolton; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph “Joe” Zahler; three sisters; and two brothers. Services will be held July 20, at 1 p.m., at Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, with Pastor Ed Scaglione officiating. Interment will be in Dover Burial Park.
