Ronald D. “Dude” Crites, 43, of Uhrichsville, died unexpectedly July 28, 2011, at his home. Born Dec. 24, 1967, in Dennison, Dude was a son of Judy Carpenter of Uhrichsville. He was a lifelong resident of the Twin City area and attended the Cathedral of Praise, Uhrichsville. He loved hunting, fishing, and watching the Cleveland Browns. Most recently, he was employed by Penn Line as a tree trimmer. He had previously worked as a crane operator at Feralloy Wheeling for 11 years. Dude is survived by his wife, Terri L. Crites, whom he married June 28, 1993; children, Duane Crites, Veronica Crites, Angela (Stevie) Lute, and Jessica Crites (companion Todd Gump); stepchild, Jamie Lee Fausto; brothers, Gary (Kelly) Crites, Joseph Crites, and William (April) Crites; grandchildren, Aubrey Lute, Braxton Gump, and Anistyn Richardson; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Rob and Lisa Swaney, Greg and Kerri Jones, Lisa and James Freeman, and Tonya Jones; uncle and aunt, John and Lindy Carpenter; nieces and nephews, Cody, Cassie, Colt, Billy, and Preston Crites, A.J. Bowsher, Clay and Chase Swaney, Shannon and Alexius Bright, Tanner and Torren Freeman, Erin and Trevor Jones, and Kylor Burroway; and great-nieces and -nephews, Gage Crites, Gracie Leggett, Gabrielle Crites, and Garrett and Braelyn Spellman. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leona and John Crites and George and Marion Carpenter; and aunt, Cheryl Toth. Services will be held August 2, at 1 p.m., at R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home, Dennison, with Pastor Dale Ickes officiating. Interment will follow in Tunnel Hill Cemetery near Bowerston. Family and friends are invited to call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
