William House, 88, of Wooster, died Sept. 12, 2011, at Smithville-Western Care Center. William was born Nov. 10, 1922, in Leesburg, Fla., to the late Willis and Annie House, and had been a Wooster resident since 1963. After moving from Florida to Wooster, he began working for The College of Wooster for the next 12 years. He was also a long-distance truck driver and spent a few years in oil field work at Dow Chemical Co. He was a member of Second Baptist Church, Wooster, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating. Surviving are daughters, Patricia “Diane” (Frank) Jones of Akron, and Jackie Canty, Kim Sutton, and Joleen Sutton, all of Wooster; son, William “Donnie” House of Wooster; 12 grandchildren, with a special granddaughter, Simone (Richard) McNitt; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. Services will be held Sept. 17, at 1 p.m., at Second Baptist Church, Wooster, with Pastor Rickey Brown officiating.
