Carolyn L. Forrer, 72, of North Lawrence, died Sept. 8, 2011, at Aultman Hospital, Canton, following a brief illness. Carolyn was born August 16, 1939, in Massillon, the daughter of the late Fred and Sophia Schotsch. She was a 1957 graduate of Massillon Washington High School and was united in marriage to Carl R. “Slick” Forrer on Feb. 2, 1986. He survives. Carolyn had been the manager of the First National Bank, Orrville Office, retiring in 2005. She was a former member of the Orrville Rotary, 4-H advisor, Brownie troop leader in Marshallville, Business Women’s Association of Orrville, and had helped with the Orrville Relay For Life and the United Way of Orrville. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, and will be greatly missed. She enjoyed gardening, especially in her rose garden, scrapbooking, and baking. Surviving in addition to her husband are children, Sue (Rick) Wells of Strasburg, Dave (Missy) Steiner of Wooster, Karen (Shawn) Keckler of Fostoria, and Rob Forrer of North Lawrence; grandchildren, Steve Weygandt, Amy (Chad) Tully, Kaycee Steiner, Zoe Keckler, Zane Keckler, J.D. Lunsford, Autumn Wolfe, and Arthur Wolfe; great-grandchildren, Bodie Tully and Jocelyn Tully; brother, Wilfred “Burt” (Flo) Schotsch of Orrville; sister, Betty (Carl) Bealer of Massillon; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Pat Steiner and Connie Wolfe. Services were held Sept. 12, at Auble Funeral Home, Orrville, with Pastor John Corsi officiating.
