Joe L. Raber, 91, of Baltic died Monday, Oct. 14, 2013 at his home after a brief illness. He was born July 5, 1922 in Holmes County to the late Levi J. and Katie Ann (Yoder) Raber. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. He was married to the former Lizzie Beachy who died June 2, 2005. He is survived by his children; LeRoy (Anna) Raber of Millersburg, Marie (Mose) Barkman of Baltic, and Marvin (Dorothy) Raber of Baltic; seven grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and his wife, he is preceded in death by his brother Raymond Raber. Services were held Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013 at 9 a.m. at the Willis Yoder Residence in Baltic. Burial was in the Raber Cemetery in Clark Township, Holmes County. Friends may call anytime at the Raber Residence. Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home at Sugarcreek.
