Beatrice Bowman Beatrice Gertrude Bowman, 88, of rural Mt. Gilead, died Jan. 9, 2010, at Marion General Hospital. Beatrice was born Nov. 11, 1921, to the late Bernard and Lula Martin. She had worked for Arundale Plastics before her retirement. Surviving are daughters, Charlene Landon of Mt. Gilead and Beatrice B. Bowman of Sturgis, Mich.; sons, Milton Delaney of Clovis, Calif., and Earl Bowman of Midland, Texas; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; brothers, Theodore Martin of Killbuck and Bernard Martin of Nashville; and sister, Ruth Miller of Glenmont. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bowman, whom she married in 1947; daughters, Carrie Ann, Betty, and Barbara; a brother; and four sisters. Memorial services will be held Jan. 23, 2010, at 2 p.m., at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, Galion. Burial will be in Nashville Cemetery at a later date.
