Lura Anderson Lura I. Anderson, 94, of Ashland, died Jan. 10, 2010, at her home. Lura was born Nov. 8, 1915, in Holmes County, to the late Frank and Edith Wachtel. She had been a homemaker and a waitress at Hanson’s Restaurant, Barney’s Diner, Nadelin’s Restaurant, and had worked at Lawson’s. She was a member of West Hill Baptist Church. Surviving are children, Don Carter of Apple Creek, Sandra (Alva) Burgett of Ashland, and Marilyn Crawford of Apple Creek; 16 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, Chet and Dorothy Carter; and son-in-law, Wayne Crawford. Services were held Jan. 14, 2010, at West Hill Baptist Church, with Rev.
