OBITUARY

                        
Emma J. Miller, 84, of Sugarcreek, died suddenly Feb. 22, 2010, at her home, of an apparent heart attack. Emma was born Sept. 17, 1925, in Sugarcreek, to the late Monroe and Lizzie Ann Schlabach. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Order Amish Church. Surviving are children, Edward (Sharon) Miller, Esta Miller, Betty (Lavern) Schlabach, and Arlene (Robert) Schlabach, all of Sugarcreek, and Martha Miller of Irwin; seven grandchildren, Lisa (John Mark) Weaver, Scott (Lauren) Miller, Heidi Miller, Jennifer, Kristina, Andrew, and Eric Schlabach; two great-grandchildren, Derek and Julie Weaver; and sister-in-law, Mary Schlabach. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe J. Miller, whom she married in 1946; infant son, Roman; sisters, Katie Ann Yoder and Mary Ann Miller; and brother, Noah M. Schlabach. Services will be held Feb. 25, 2010, at 9 a.m., at the Miller residence, with Bishop Robert A. Troyer officiating. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home, Sugarcreek.
