OBITUARY

                        
Lorena G. Hamilton, 91, of Wooster, died Feb. 22, 2010, at Glendora Health Care Center, surrounded by her loving family, following a brief illness. Lorena was born April 5, 1918, in Maysville, to the late Louis L. and Belle Chenevey, and had been a Wooster resident most of her life. She was a devoted homemaker who dearly loved her family. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and involved in many activities, including Catholic Daughters of the Americas and Mission Circle No. 20. She enjoyed crocheting lap quilts for the troops for many years, loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed playing cards, bowling, and mushroom hunting. Surviving are children, Gale V. (Zee) Hamilton, Kent J. (Sharon L.) Hamilton, Rena M. (Dennis) Figley, and Marshall F. Hamilton, all of Wooster; seven grandchildren, Scott, Debbie, Heather, Matthew, Jason, Brian, and Erica; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Sigler of Akron and Alverta “Perry” Rhamy of Wooster; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond W. Hamilton, whom she married in 1940; son, Harlan; grandchildren, Eddy, Doug, Raymond, and Tina; four brothers; and a sister. Mass of Christian burial was held Feb. 26, 2010, at St. Mary Catholic Church, with Rev. Stephen Moran officiating. Interment was in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Wooster.
