Faye Smith Faye Verna Smith, 72, of Ashland, died Jan. 5, 2010, at her home, following a four-year battle with cancer. Faye was born June 27, 1937, in Holmes County, to the late Daniel and Emma Domer. She graduated from Jeromesville High School and was a member of Northend Church of Christ, Ashland. She enjoyed sewing and doing crafts. Surviving are her husband, Donald R. Smith, whom she married in 1957; children, Ron (Kathy) Smith of Panama City, Fla., Diana Brown of Ashland, and Loretta (Darren) Adkins of Lexington; seven grandchildren, Curtis Brown, Tamera (Matt) Hutter, Jeff Smith, Jason Brown, Amanda Brown, Jordan Brown, and Seth Adkins; sisters, Shirley Mohler of Wooster and Carol (Melvin) Grindstaff of Reedsburg; and brothers, Richard (Sharon) Domer and J.D. (Jeanna) Domer, both of Wooster, and Kenneth (Bertha) Domer and Larry (Mary Jo) Domer, both of Shreve. She was preceded in death by sisters, Jean Carillon, Linda Domer, Dorothy Curtiss, and Doris Haudenschild. Services were held Jan. 11, 2010, at Roberts Funeral Home, Ashland Chapel, Ashland, with Don Highman officiating. Burial was in Ashland County Memorial Park.
