OBITUARY

                        
Bruno F. Menapace, 89, of Dennison, died March 5, 2010. He was surrounded by his family in his home. Bruno was born June 6, 1920, in Austria, to the late Carlo and Mary Menapace. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, a WWII veteran, a member of Immaculate Conception Church and Knights of Columbus, and a retiree of the Penn Central Railroad. His son, sons-in-law, daughters, and grandchildren will miss the good times “Grandpa” played cards with them. He was an avid Ohio State, Cleveland Indians, Cavs, and Browns fan. Surviving are his wife, Rose Marie Menapace, whom he married in 1943; son, Bill (Debbie) Menapace; daughters, Mariann (Terry) Pennington of New Philadelphia, Janice (Bob) Saggio of Reynoldsburg, and Cathy Menapace of New Philadelphia; brothers, Rudy Menapace of Dennison and Johnny Menapace of Riverside; sister, Mary (Frank) Maniscalco of Deer Park, N.Y.; eight grandchildren, Brian (Lisha) Pennington, Jeff (Lisa) Pennington, Mike (Phoebe) Pennington, Chris (Kacey) Saggio, Nicole Saggio, Matt Menapace, Kerry (Greg) Jones, and Amy (Dominic) Wray; nine great-grandchildren, Tyler and Danielle Pennington, Kayla, Karlie, and Kennedy Saggio, Joseph Bruno and Nicklas Pennington, Erin Jones, and Maile Wray; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Frances; and uncles, Mario and Romano Menapace. Services were held March 8, 2010, at Immaculate Conception Church, Dennison, with Father Anthony Lonzo officiating. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery near Dennison. Those wishing to honor his memory by a charitable contribution may do so to Hospice of Tuscarawas County or Immaculate Conception Church’s Memorial Book Fund.
