Mark E. Varnes, 51, of Dover, died March 7, 2010, at Affinity Medical Center, Massillon.
Born March 25, 1958, in Dover, Mark was a son of Earl Varnes of Dover and the late Carole Varnes. A gifted and talented welder, he had been employed at Dover Conveyor for many years and was also a member of the Iron Workers Union. He loved motorcycles, especially riding his Harley, and enjoyed going to auctions. He was also very handy, and took great pride in fixing up his house and restoring cars.
Surviving are his wife, Carol Varnes, whom he married in 1990; children, Ashley, Brittany, Sara, and Mark J. Varnes, all of the home, Tiffany, Krista, and Gregg Patterson, all of Florida, and Kayla France of Dover; sisters, Debra (Bill) Abel and Kelli (Jeff) Mathews; brothers, Rick (Beth) Varnes and Tod (Nancy) Varnes, both of Dover; and four grandchildren.
Cremation will take place through the care of the Toland-Herzig Crematory. Memorial services were held March 10, 2010, at Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, with Pastor Jeff Mathews officiating.
