Phyllis E. Galbraith, 77, of Nashville, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014 at the Holmes County Home, Holmesville following an extended illness.
She was born July 25, 1936 in Nashville, and was the daughter of Clarence and Laura (Rose) Bevington. On July 15, 1955 she married Ronald Galbraith and he preceded her in death Sept. 11, 2010.
Phyllis retired from Mansfield Plumbing Products. She was a member of the Nashville Methodist Church, the Hilltop Garden Club and the Friends of the Nashville Library. She enjoyed cooking and loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are her three children and their spouses, Mike (Jill) Galbraith of Loudonville, Jaynie (Bill) Muse of Millersburg, and Julie (Jeff) Allison of Millersburg; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard (Nancy) Bevington of Lakeville, and Ronald (Pat) Bevington of Killbuck; a sister, Doris Cernetisch of San Diego, Calif., and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Clarence Bevington Jr.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2014 at the Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg with Pastor Duane Galbraith officiating. Burial was in the Nashville Cemetery, Nashville. Friends called from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
