Ramona F. Erwin

                        

Ramona F. Erwin, age 90 of New Philadelphia, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, in Park Village Health Care Center at Dover.

Born in New Philadelphia, Ramona was the daughter of the late Edward B. and Elizabeth A. McKnight Reese and a 1946 graduate of Midvale High School in Midvale. She had retired from the former I.F. Manufacturing in New Philadelphia, where she had worked as a receptionist and switchboard operator and was formerly a member of the Roswell Senior Citizens and Dover VFW Auxiliary.

Ramona is preceded in death by her husband, the late William E. Erwin, and surviving members of the family include a daughter, Candi (Jesse) James of Bolivar; two sons, Edward (Wendy) Marinelli of New Philadelphia and John (Bonnie) Marinelli of DeBary, Florida; a step-daughter, Sherri Buehler and her husband Paul Redmon of Dover; a step-son, Scott (Phyllis) Erwin of Ashland; three sisters-in-law, Barb Reese of New Philadelphia, Salli Reese of Oklahoma and Nancy Reese of Louisville; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. A step-daughter, a step-son, a sister and three brothers also preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held Monday, Jan. 7 from 4-6 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Brian Flood officiating. Burial will be in East Avenue Cemetery at New Philadelphia. A reception will be held in the Geib Family Center following the burial.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Park Village and Crossroads Hospice for the wonderful care that was given to Ramona and requests that memorial contributions be made to Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oaks Drive E., Uniontown, OH 44685.
