Sherry A. Pearch, 60, of New Philadelphia lost her courageous battle to cancer at the Community Hospice House on Sept. 25, 2013. Born March 5, 1953 in Mercer, Pa., she was the daughter of Delbert and Frances Walton of Dover and the late Walter Alleshouse. Being outdoors brought much joy to Sherry. She loved tending to her garden and flowers, as well as camping, fishing, and boating. She also delighted in picking blackberries and hunting for mushrooms. Motorcylcle trips with her husband, Mike, and rides on her horse, Lacy, brought great delight to Sherry as well. Other hobbies included archery, reading, and making beautiful afghans. Professionally, Sherry owned and operated Silver Mist Greenhouse in New Philadelphia which she loved to work at prior to her health declining to a point where she could no longer maintain the company. Sherry will be remembered by her family and friends as a generous hostess at family cookouts, holiday dinners & birthdays. She was loved so much by her family and friends because of her generous heart, loving & kind compassionate ways. Sherry will be deeply missed by her husband, Michael Pearch of New Philadelphia; her daughters, Lisa (Mike) Steer of Dover and Tiffani (Eric) Wolfe of Canton; her brothers, Randy (Nancy) Alleshouse of New Philadelphia and Kim (Wendy) Alleshouse of Sandyville; her step-sister, Colleen (John) Cua of North Carolina and Janet (Dave) Beach of N.C.; her mother-in-law, Donna Pearch of New Philadelphia; her sister-in-law, Debbie Pearch of New Philadelphia; her grandsons, Trenton Bennett of North Canton and Matt & Nate Steer of Dover; her aunt, Ruth Laubscher of Pennsylvania; her niece, Megan (Robert) John of Bowerston; her nephews, Nicholas (Cara) Alleshouse of Bolivar, Anthony Alleshouse of North Canton, Timothy & Tyler Alleshouse of Sandyville and Brian Pearch of New Philadelphia. Sherry also was anxiously waiting for the birth of her new grandchild. She will be sadly missed by her family and special friends including Julene Graham, Bonnie Rossi, Karen Goudy & Sandy Croy; and Sherry’s pets including Lacy (horse) Gizzie (tea cup chihuahua) Annie (monkey) & her kittens. A gathering of friends and family was held in the Geib Funeral Center in Dover on Saturday, Sept, 28, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. to support Sherry’s family and honor her life.
