Terry E. Bretz, 55, of the Holmes County Home, Holmesville, passed away Friday, May 2, 2014 at Aultman Hospital, Canton.
He was born July 3, 1958 in Millersburg, and was the son of Richard and Rose (Giauque) Bretz. Terry worked at Lynn Hope Industries and enjoyed telling about his various duties when he returned home. He enjoyed playing basketball for the Holmes County Bucks and he loved watching the races at Hilltop Speedway. Terry was always kind and helpful to others at the Holmes County Home and enjoyed helping in the garden and playing basketball with visitors.
He is survived by three brothers, Randy and Larry Bretz both of Millersburg, and John Bretz of Akron, and one sister, Mary Bretz of Wooster.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Edward and Kelly Bretz.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Holmes County Home. There will be no calling hours. Burial will take place at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Millersburg at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg.
