Wayne E. Boozie Miller Sr., 75, of Millersburg, passed away Thursday morning, Nov. 1, 2012 at the Compassionate Care Center, Canton, following an extended illness.
He was born Oct. 23, 1937 in Holmes County and was the son of John and Erma Miller. On Dec. 16, 1969 he married Edna Belle Sturgeon and she preceded him in death Oct. 23, 2001.
He worked for Flxible Company of both Millersburg and Loudonville. Wayne was a member of the Millersburg Church of Christ. He was a past member of the Eagles. He enjoyed playing Bingo, gardening, and spending time with his family. He was also an avid NASCAR fan.
He is survived by three children, Rebekah Miller, Donna (Dana) Moorhead and Wayne Miller Jr. all of Millersburg; 11 grandchildren, Christopher, Nathanial and Elizabeth Miller, Ashley, Jessica, Brandon and Andrew Moorhead, Philip, Kirk and Robert Schaffter, and Bradey Miller; home care provider and friend, Brandy Fry; and special grandson, Skylar Fry.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Ronald; his brother, Myron Miller; and a sister, Virginia Jones.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 5, at 11 a.m., at the Millersburg Church of Christ with Pastor Doug Wells officiating.
Burial will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg.
Family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Millersburg Church of Christ, 926 East Jackson St. Ext., Millersburg 44654.
