The Ohio Department of Agriculture will have representatives at a free, short meeting to help farmers learn the basics of the rules, risks and fines associated with manure application. Participants also will be able to ask questions and learn how to prevent manure from ending up in water or what to do in an unexpected circumstance.

Topics covered will include the liability aspects of manure along with the pollution complaint process. Anyone involved in the livestock business is encouraged to learn more about these rules and updates in Ohio and agriculture.

This meeting will be at Fisher Auditorium at the OARDC in Wooster on Tuesday, April 10 at 9:30 a.m. Attendees are asked to RSVP to Wayne SWCD at 330-262-2836 prior to April 9 to get a count for coffee and doughnuts.
