Zoar Village Golf Course will host the Trumpet in the Land & Wendy's four-person golf scramble on Wednesday, May 2. The scramble will begin at 9 a.m. with a reverse shotgun start. Prizes will be awarded for lowest team score, closest to the pin and longest drive. A putting contest, skins and a 50/50 drawing also will be held, and mulligans will be available for individual purchase.

At the conclusion of the outing, golfers will enjoy Wendy's chili and a sub sandwich. The fundraiser benefits Ohio’s official state play, "Trumpet in the Land," as the drama prepares for its 49th season of providing professional entertainment to the valley.

This summer the Broadway musicals — "Bye Bye Birdie," "Why Do Fools Fall in Love," "Life Could Be a Dream" and the children’s production of "Dorothy Meets Alice" — will join "Trumpet in the Land" on the amphitheatre stages.

A full schedule can be found at www.trumpetintheland.com.

Cost for the event is $240 per team or $60 per person and includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, lunch at the turn, chili and a sandwich at the end of the day, and a ticket to the 2018 production of "Trumpet in the Land."

To reserve your space for the Trumpet & Wendy’s Golf Outing, call the Trumpet in the Land office at 330-364-5111.

Zoar Village Gold Course is located at 8229 Dover Zoar Rd NE, Dover.
