David Schultz will virtually present the Massillon Museum’s May Brown Bag Lunch program, “Massillon’s Major Leaguers,” at noon on MCTV Channels 21 and 621 on Tuesday, May 26. It will be posted on the museum’s YouTube channel that afternoon. For more information about viewing the presentation, visit www.massillonmuseum.org.

Schultz is a lifelong baseball historian. Growing up in rural Michigan, he became a lifetime Detroit Tigers fan. Because he spent much of his career in the newspaper business, he was able to meet a number of former and current baseball players.

When he brought Cleveland Indians and Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Bob Feller to MassMu as a Brown Bag Lunch speaker, 300 fans turned out for the program. Since moving to Massillon in 1980, Schultz served for many years as a museum trustee including three separate terms as chairman.

Viewers can expect to learn about professional baseball stars like Tommy Henrich, Joe Sparma, Mike Hershberger and other Massillonians from decades earlier.

The Massillon Museum receives operating support from the Ohio Arts Council and ArtsinStark and marketing support from Visit Canton.
