Lions Lincoln Theatre hosts tree festival
Over 30 Christmas trees decorated in special themes will be on display at the Lions Lincoln Theatre through Nov. 19.
The trees are sponsored by local businesses and individuals and then are sold to the highest bidder through a silent auction. Bids may be placed in person during an open house or at a Lincoln Theatre event, by sending a Facebook message, on the theater website at www.lionslincolntheatre.org, or by calling 330-481-9105. All proceeds will benefit the nonprofit theater.
Some of the themes include “The Wizard of Oz,” “Disney Christmas,” “Christmas in Whoville,” “Go Tigers” and “Back to the ‘50s.” Photos of the trees will be posted online with updated bids listed for each tree.
Bidding will end at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, and delivery will be available for an additional charge. The theater will be open to the public to view the trees free of charge with free refreshments during one of the following open houses: Saturday, Nov. 5 from 6-8 p.m.; Thursday, Nov. 10 from 6-8 p.m.; Friday, Nov. 11 from 6-8 p.m.; Sunday, Nov. 13 from 3-5 p.m.; and Friday, Nov. 18 from 6-8 p.m.
The theater is located at 156 Lincoln Way E. in Massillon.
