United Way of Wayne and Holmes Counties announced a virtual open call to local artists. UWWH is seeking local talent to submit a vocal recording of themselves singing “Love Can Build a Bridge” by the Judds for a chance to star in the United Way 2020 campaign video.

“We are excited to give artists with a connection to Holmes or Wayne county a chance to use their talents to help our organization with our 2020 campaign video,” said Katie Koglman, executive director of United Way of Wayne and Holmes Counties. “We are accepting submissions from bands, duets and solo artists who can provide their own accompaniment music and wow us with their voices, knowing that in turn their talents will end up helping inspire a whole community to be philanthropic and help thousands.”

The submission guidelines are as follows: must have a Holmes or Wayne county connection; bands, duets and solo performers welcome; must have own accompanying music or instruments; all time to be considered volunteer time with no compensation; audition tapes should be less than one minute; submit video with audio or link to a video to info@uwwh.org with the subject line, 2020 Campaign Video; and include your full name, email, phone number and a short description of yourself or band including your tie to the community.

Email submissions to info@uwwh.org by May 29. An announcement of the winner's vocals will be done via LIVE WHIRE in June, and the winner will be contacted.
