Aspen site of upcoming pickleball tournament
The inaugural Pickle-Woo Pickleball Tournament will be held April 6-7 at Aspen Racquet Club, 850 Venture Blvd., Wooster.
Aspen Racquet Club will present the inaugural Pickle-Woo Pickleball Tournament April 6-7 at the club located at 850 Venture Blvd. in Wooster.
The $50 entry fee includes round-robin pool play with three games guaranteed.
Play will be held in three divisions — men’s, women’s and mixed — and each division will have separate brackets for level 3.0-3.5 and level 3.5-4.0 players.
The cost is $50 per team, and the deadline to register is April 1. Register by email at infor@arcwooster.com or by calling 330-439-5004. Online registration is coming soon.
“All proceeds from Pickle-Woo will directly benefit our junior programming and provide scholarships to children who otherwise wouldn’t have the opportunity to participate,” said Heather Alexander, club manager at Aspen. “It’s a fantastic way to combine the joy of competition with the satisfaction of giving back to our community.”
Trillium Creek Dermatology is a co-sponsor of the tournament. Aspen Racquet Club is an indoor tennis club that opened in 2018 with a facility that spans 48,000 square feet.
