Berlin Green, West Holmes Silver post mercy wins

                        
Berlin #2 Green 13, Killbuck #1 White 3 After suffering another tough walk-off loss to Fredericksburg 7-6 last Friday, Berlin Green Little League bounced back with a 13-3 thrashing of Killbuck #1 White Tuesday, May 18, at Berlin. The game stood at 7-3 going into the bottom of the fourth inning when Killbuck’s pitching crumbled allowing Berlin players to essentially walk around the bases and ending the game early with a six-run inning. Tyson Gingerich was the winning pitcher for Berlin, with Braden Mast striking out three in his only inning on the mound. Gingerich and Derek Miller led Berlin, both having two hits including a double. Berlin’s record improved to 6-4 on the season. Berlin #1 Maroon 14, Killbuck #2 2 Jacob Kalman had a big day pitching and hitting for Berlin against Killbuck. Kalman doubled and singled twice and was the winning pitcher in Berlin Maroon’s 14-2 thumping of Killbuck on Tuesday, May 18. Eric Mullet chipped in a home run and Adam Grate doubled for the winners. Hot StoveWest Holmes Silver 16, Triway 6 West Holmes Silver cruised to a five-inning run rule victory over Triway on Tuesday, May 18. Levi Jones was the winning pitcher and Logan Gallion was the top hitter with a double. The Silver Knights improved to 2-0 with the win. West Holmes Gold 10, Hillsdale 6 West Holmes scored in every inning but the second en route to a 10-6 triumph over Hillsdale Wednesday, May 19, at Deer Run Park. Scott Troyer had three singles and a double, Colton Landon had two doubles and a single, and Clay Stutzman and Josh Carsner each added a single and double to lead the 15-hit attack of the Gold Knights. Logan Brown and Hunter Akers each doubled, and Jonathan Clark and Brandon Conn singled for the winners. Troyer was the winning pitcher, striking out five. Stutzman fanned one in relief.
