Holmes Disc Golf Club holds winter tournament
The Holmes County Disc Golf Club held its fourth annual Lost Course winter tournament on Feb. 22 at Deer Run Park in Millersburg. The tournament is unique in that the club turns the course around and plays it backward. Fourteen players showed up to battle the course and the snowy conditions.
At the end of the day, in Division I, Glendon Yoder took first place with a 7-under score while Alan Hilty took second place with a 3-under. In Division II, Josh Ukrich and D.C. Roth both tied for first place with scores of 7-over. Ukrich would eventually win after a two-hole playoff. Hilty won the prize for the longest drive, and Joseph Yoder won the prize for the longest putt.
With the winter tournament, the HCDGC has officially kicked off its 2025 season. The next tournament will be a singles tournament scheduled for May 10.
