The Lady Hawks visit to Dover on Tuesday was filled with missed opportunities.
“We had some great chances, and really just needed the finishing touch,” said Hiland coach Pat Miller after his team dropped a 1-0 decision to the Tornadoes.
“It felt like our intensity was at about 80 percent, and that won’t get it done offensively,” Miller said.
Dover held a 7-5 edge in shots on goal, including the game winner in the final two minutes of the game.
“We gave up a tough goal with two minutes left,” Miller said. “We thought we had them off sides. It was a tough way to end the night.”
