Mother Nature’s continuing Saturday evening sorrows brought tears to the eyes of young race fans at Hilltop Speedway, on Saturday, July 23, as heavy rains forced the postponement of Kids Night and Driver Autograph Night at the one-third mile banked oval near Millersburg.

With Ohio Outlaw Motorsports set to take over “The Hill” with motorcycle and quad racing, on Friday, July 29 and Saturday, July 30, Kids Night will now be held on Saturday, August 6, when the green flag drops on the Mini Wedge Invitational, while the Holmes Tire Late Models, Tri-State Modifieds, Street Stocks, Guerne Heights Drive-In Mini Stocks and Atom’s Pest Control Trucks all return to action as well.

Fans holding wrist bands from Saturday, July 23 can use them on Saturday, August 6 or Saturday, August 13, when all six divisions will be in action again for the rescheduled Driver Autograph Night.

With the regular season set to wrap up with championship races on Saturday, August 20, Hilltop Speedway has only been able to complete eight full nights of racing in 2011, with eight other scheduled race nights having been flushed down the drains by heavy rains and thunderstorms during a tumultuous spring and summer weather season in the skies above Holmes County.
