WH, Garaway combine to land 14 on All-Ohio football

The Division IV and V football All-Ohio teams were announced Dec. 10 by the Ohio Prep Sports Media Association. The All-Ohio teams are based on nominations from the seven districts of the OPSMA, which vote on the all-district teams from regular-season accomplishments.

West Holmes had six players earn honors in Div. IV.

Senior wide receiver Logan Zollars was a second-team pick on offense. He caught 49 passes for 847 yards and nine touchdowns.

Senior quarterback Morgan Smith and junior running back/wide receiver Lynn Cline were third-team choices on offense.

Smith completed 190-of-312 passes for 2,815 yards and 24 touchdowns with 11 interceptions while rushing for 730 yards and 12 scores on 148 carries.

Cline rushed for 458 yards and three touchdowns on 76 carries while catching 43 balls for 648 yards and six scores.

Senior offensive lineman Morgan Eastep, senior defensive lineman Hunter McCluggage and sophomore linebacker Braxton Blake earned honorable mention accolades.

Eastep helped pave the way for an offense that averaged 25.8 points.

McCluggage finished with 106 total tackles including 15 for loss and 12 sacks. He also forced four fumbles, recovered one and broke up five passes.

Blake led the Knights with 134 total tackles including nine for loss and 5.5 sacks. He also forced two fumbles, recovered two and broke up four passes.

Garaway had eight players earn honors in Div. V.

Senior running back Dillon Soehnlen was a first-team choice on offense. He rushed for 1,659 yards and 26 touchdowns on 192 carries while catching 16 passes for 213 yards and two scores.

Senior linebacker Jayce Wallick was a first-team selection on defense. He finished with 129 total tackles including 22 for loss and nine sacks. He also recorded one interception, forced three fumbles, recovered one and scored a defensive touchdown.

Junior lineman Dillon King was a second-team pick on defense. He recorded 82 total tackles including 18 for loss and nine sacks.

Senior quarterback Brady Geibel, senior wide receiver Bronson Speedy, senior offensive lineman Bryce Yoder, senior kicker Anderson Colon and junior defensive lineman Colson Keller earned honorable mention accolades.

Geibel completed 115-of-182 passes for 1,718 yards and 18 touchdowns with seven interceptions while rushing for 265 yards and eight scores on 88 carries.

Speedy caught 33 passes for 416 yards and five touchdowns.

Yoder helped pave the way for an offense that averaged 34 points and 310 yards.

Colon made two field goals including a 41-yarder and was 58-of-62 on extra-point attempts.

Keller finished with 84 total tackles including 14 for loss and nine sacks.
