Leadership conference to be held Feb. 7-8
The Young Agricultural Professionals 2025 Winter Leadership Experience, an opportunity to build personal and professional skills and network with agricultural leaders, will come Feb. 7-8 at Kalahari in Sandusky.
Registration is now open for the conference, which will feature sessions covering topics ranging from traditional agriculture and niche farming/marketing to advocacy and consumer education.
New this year, to coincide with the event’s theme of “Embracing Your Season,” members of any age, even those who are not Young Agricultural Professionals, are welcome to attend this Ohio Farm Bureau event.
“Each year the YAP State Committee secures an agenda of high-caliber educational programming for the Winter Leadership Experience. Realizing the offerings of the conference are beneficial to all agriculturalists, regardless of age, YAP leaders are welcoming all Ohio Farm Bureau members to attend this year,” said Mary Klopfenstein, YAP and ag literacy program specialist. “The presenter lineup for 2025 will be particularly beneficial for YAP members to attend alongside other key decision-makers on the farm to talk growth and transition strategies for the future of their operation.”
In addition, the conference will offer multiple extended learning sessions on grain marketing, starting a new home food business and ATV/UTV safety, as well as a pesticide and fertilizer applicator recertification continuing education class, a Networking and Partnership Showcase, and a night of entertainment for the whole family. Kids programming also will be available during breakout sessions.
The registration deadline for the 2025 Winter Leadership Experience is Jan. 21, and event details can be found at www.ofb.ag/2025WLE.
