Pesticide disposal collection Aug. 15 in Mt. Hope
The Ohio Department of Agriculture will sponsor a collection event for farmers wishing to dispose of unwanted pesticides at the Farmers Produce Auction in Mt. Hope.
The Ohio Department of Agriculture will sponsor a collection event for farmers wishing to dispose of unwanted pesticides on Thursday, Aug. 15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Farmers Produce Auction, 7701 state Route 241, Mt. Hope.
The pesticide collection and disposal services are free, but only farm chemicals will be accepted. Paint, antifreeze, solvents, and household or nonfarm pesticides will not be accepted.
The pesticide collections are sponsored by ODA in conjunction with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. To preregister or for more information, call the Ohio Department of Agriculture at 614-728-6987.
