The Dover Public Library will showcase the work of local sculptor Dr. Bill Schultz in the display cases through the month of March. For the past 30 years, Schultz has created sculptures in stone, wood and clay and has been featured in multiple local art venues.

Schultz began sculpting in clay many years ago after receiving a block of terra cotta from a patient who suggested it would be a great way to relieve stress. Using the information he learned in earning his graduate degree in anatomy as a guide, he was able to create busts of both Abraham Lincoln and Albert Einstein, but he also has made sculptures of everything from bison to chess pieces using various materials.

The library would like to remind the public if they have a collection they wish to share with the community to contact the library.

The Dover Public Library is located at 525 N. Walnut St. Call 330-343-6123.
