The Wayne County Public Library will host best-selling author and illustrator Jan Brett on her Winter Wonderland Tour. Brett’s presentation will be held Wednesday, Nov. 29 at 5:30 p.m. at The Ohio State ATI Conference Center, 1680 Madison Ave., Wooster.

Traveling to 23 cities in 17 days, Brett’s Winter Wonderland Bus Tour will highlight her wintry backlist books just in time for the holiday season. She will travel across the country to visit bookstores, libraries and schools in a bus branded with her familiar book characters.

Author of over 40 picture books with over 44 million in print, Brett is renowned for her art. Her illustrations are often inspired by her many globe-trotting adventures, whether it be to Norway, Botswana, Japan or India. Her work has been chosen as Best Children’s Books of the Year by The New Yorker, Parents, Redbook and others, and she has been featured in publications like Romper, The Boston Globe, Travel + Leisure, The Los Angeles Times and more.

For this year’s tour, Brett will do a 20- to 30-minute drawing demonstration related to her best-selling picture book “Cozy” and talk about her research trip to Alaska to see the musk oxen. This will be followed by a book-signing. Barnes & Noble Mansfield will have books available for purchase at the event, and you can meet Hedgie from “The Mitten” while you wait.

Brett will do her best to sign all books. If time does not permit, then she will provide as many signed bookplates as necessary for allbooks.

The event is sponsored by the Wayne County Public Library, Barnes & Noble Mansfield and Triway Schools. It is requested attendees register for the event at www.wcpl.info or by calling 330-262-0916.
