The Wooster branch of the Wayne County Public Library will host a celebration for the release of local author Marcy Campbell’s latest book, “Something Good,” on Thursday, Oct. 28. Two sessions will be held from 4:30-5:30 p.m. and 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Campbell will share her book, make a short presentation and then autograph copies of the book, which will be available for purchase. There also will be activities for children including a collaborative kindness mural.

“Something Good” tells the story of how a school pulls together to make “something good” when a “bad something” is written on the wall of the girls’ bathroom. It has been enthusiastically reviewed by Publisher’s Weekly and Kirkus Reviews.

Campbell, who lives in Wooster with her husband, two children and three furry companions, is an award-winning author of picture books and middle-grade novels, which have earned praise from The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, School Library Review, The Horn Book, Kirkus Reviews and many others. Her debut picture book was selected for the Junior Library Guild, chosen as a Top 10 Indie Next Pick, and was the recipient of awards including the Comstock Read Aloud and Crystal Kite Awards. Her books have been translated into eight languages and adapted for the stage.

Space is limited and registration encouraged by calling the children’s department at 330-262-0916 or going online at www.wcpl.info.
