Mid Summer’s Night Art Affair to open at arts center

The public is invited to a gallery reception for the 22nd annual Mid Summer’s Night Art Affair on Saturday, July 20 from 7-9 p.m. at the Tuscarawas County Center for the Arts, 461 Robinson Drive SE, New Philadelphia.

The art exhibition will highlight recent works in a variety of media and styles created by invited artists with a Tuscarawas County connection. Bob Ventre and Bruce Wallace will provide jazz music for the evening, and refreshments will be served.

In addition to the exhibition in the main Foland Gallery, the public will be invited to view an exhibition of work by Kiyoe Howald in the Members Gallery and artworks from the permanent collection throughout the upper galleries.

Artists participating in this year’s event are Alex Allesandri-Bruce, Sarah Andreas, Terry Barnhill, Jeff Beitzel, Jeff Bryan, Anthony Contini, Lynn Cox, Susan Cramer Stein, Sarah Dugger, Zeke Gardner, Aubrey Gealsha, Victor Fowler, Malissa Fox, Melissa Gish, Charles Graham, Dee Grossman, Mark Hagloch, Jane Hazel, Jackie Holan, Kiyoe Howald, James Oliver Huff, Gina Judy, Chris Kalouche, Bill Koch, Douglas Laubacher, Andy Liptak, Betty Liptak, Skip Limbach, Ashley McCahill, Mattie Mathis, JoJo Marino, Jasmine Mills, Philista Mills, Deb Morrison, Scott Morrison, Vivian Mosley, P T Mowrey, Steve Muhs, Barbara Palmer, Pamela Randolph, Peggy Sibila, Tim Sidel, Paula Siebieda, Stephanie Space, Joyce Stahl, Ed Steffek, Ginny Stocker, Jon Stucky, Karen Thornton, Dave Trustdorf, Yan Sun, Kyle Valentini and Hong Yin.

The show will run through Sept. 7. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. Admission to the reception and show are free, but donations are appreciated.

The exhibition is funded in part by Lauren International, The Ohio Arts Council, the Tuscarawas County Community Foundation, The Pietro-Martinelli Charitable Trust, Appalachian Community Fund, and the Doris and Floyd Kimble Foundation.
