The spring concert of The Cantate Singers will be Sunday, April 13 at 5 p.m. at Christ Church UCC, 301 N. Main St., Orrville.
The Cantate Singers include vocalists from Wayne and surrounding counties, offering two concerts each year in the spring and fall. The performance will include pieces by classic composers Haydn, Brahms and Dvorak, alongside newer works by Morten Lauridsen, Elaine Hagenberg, Allen Kopek and Peter Eklund. The theme running through these offerings is “Heaven and Nature Sing.”
Laurel Labbe is the music director, and Ken Shafer is the accompanist. A freewill offering will be received to support the ensemble's work.
